It’s been over a year since Michael Lavorgna (of Twittering Machines) and I sat down to chew the fat and record our conversation as a podcast. These aren’t the unstructured ‘anything goes’ private chats we have via WhatsApp. For a podcast we need a theme; a topic; a skeleton upon which we can hang our thoughts. Easing us back into the podcast format in this episode was a relatively simple premise: what do we wish we’d known earlier in our forays into hi-fi? With the benefit of hindsight, Lavorgna and I came up with five things that we didn’t learn – or didn’t fully appreciate – until years later. We’d go one-for-one in the podcast conversation, indulging interesting tangents along the way. But before we got going in earnest, Lavorgna and I would detail recent changes to our high-end turntable setups.
