Qobuz USA, the American arm of the French streaming service, has announced the immediate availability of a new family subscription plan. ‘Qobuz Family’ allows any main Qobuz USA account holder to add up to five household members. Each additional member will be given autonomy over their own private set of favourites, playlists and listening history.
The new family plan is being made available to new and existing subscribers of Qobuz’s two tiers: 1) Studio Premier that offers unlimited CD-quality/hi-res streaming from a library of 50 million tracks and 2) Sublime+ that adds discounted downloads.
The family plan version of Studio Premier will be free for the first month to new subscribers, US$25/month thereafter. Existing Qobuz USA account holders can stump up the extra US$10/month to add five family members. Sublime+ users can expect to be billed US$500/year for their family plan version.
