Munich High-End 2018 (sights & sounds)

  • German engineering. For motor vehicles and audio gear, it is almost unsurpassed — and it’s the latter we find on show at Munich High-End in May. What the following video doesn’t capture is the weakest point in German engineering: air-conditioning. Less than an hour after the MOC opens its doors to the public, thousands of audio enthusiasts turn the exhibitor rooms and halls into a slow broiler. No mind. Here we see (again): what an audio show really sounds like:

    This sets the tone for what comes next. As we dig into exhibitor-specific coverage, expect to see a deeper video-based dive into new (and not-so-new) products with a heavy inflexion on the contextual information.
