The developer of Bliss music library management software Dan Gravell has recently published an e-book called – yup – The Music Library Management Book. The tagline says it all: learn how to acquire, store, organise and protect your computer music library.
The book contains a comprehensive guide to ripping with EAC. Alas, Mac users aren’t catered for with ripping. I recommend using XLD. However, Gravell’s book contains a solid exposition of storage space requirements as well as the importance of developing solid tagging workflows. It’s very much aimed at the beginner computer audio enthusiast.
The Music Library Management Book is available as a free .pdf download from Bliss HQ. ePub and Kindle formats are also available.
