New York-based Well Rounded Sound have the Jack Terrier 2 loudspeakers, directly targeted at desktop music enthusiasts. They are small!
To be used in conjunction with an external amplifier and (optional) subwoofer they promise a “natural transparent sound”, says man-in-charge Jerry Cmehil.
“Designed primarily as desktop speakers, the Jack Terrier 2 has ample power to enliven an entire room.”, he continued.
The Jack Terrier feature a small single driver that’s light-weight and self-damping. The cones are made from a blend of paper and bamboo fibers. A neodymium motor with a copper ring reduces distortion and a solid aluminum phase plug extends high frequencies beyond 24,000 Hz.
The eco-friendly enclosure is made from recyclable composite material finished in New Zealand wool felt and natural American walnut.
